Vietri sul Mare has a history of being a border, with peoples and cultures clashing but ultimately coexisting: on the facades of the churches, in the alleys, in the forms of its ceramics…Vietri is the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, it encapsulates it…
At the top are the rural villages of Raito, Albori, Dragonea, Iaconti; there is also the centre, the “Cirroppolo” where the Mother Church is perched, along with “Marina”…and there are ceramics everywhere: a tradition that began in pre-Roman times.
