The glorious times passed and even Praiano lapsed into a dark age , abandoned at the mercy of rulers that came and went, surviving thanks to agriculture and the craftsmen ( work in coral that once abounded in these waters , silk and silk-thread ( filo Amalfitano) for the embroidery on linen favoured in Anjovin times and now reproduced by expert hands for the bottom- drawers of brides, or to decorate enchanted villas, and last but not least the fishing....
