we cross the main road and where the road joins via Villlamena, on the left start to climb towards Villamena , the ancient and picturesque hamlet that in the month of September lights up for the festa "Sabato sull'Aia" , a delicious and entertaining happening with wine and gastronomy and dancing . The centre of the " Aia " has a Church or rather two churches joined as one : the
Church of SS. Gennaro and Giuliano, with Roman remains and adjoining it the
MADONNA DELLE GRAZIE
now called "del Rosario" , that has a number of paintings of the XVII and XVIII centuries, and two
panels of the '500s of "S. Onorio" and "S.Gennaro"...
Once outside again we retrace our steps and take the left for via Croce , little more than a corridor until via Toscorana that we follow to the end. W e are now in the district Monte: a steep flight of steps lead to Ravello and on the right the little
