On the inside of the square we take via Arte della Lana , after a few metres we find the Franciscan Monastery of S. Rosalia with the adjacent small Church of the same name, it holds: a valuable seventeenth century organ and an excellent portrait of S.Rosalia by an un-known painter...

CHIESA DEL CARMINE 
          Baroque of 1601 , it has a pretty Moorish bell-tower, over the altar a fourteenth century painting that tradition attributes to an ancient shrine that once stood on the site, also of note the Presepe ( Christmas Crib Scene ) with statuettes that are faithful reproductions of the costumes of Atrani of the XVIII century .



          Between the space in front of the Church and the rock face of Monte Civita you can see a piece of the medieval town wall... Nearby the ancient North gate of Atrani and the "Camposantino"

 

CHIESA DI S. MICHELE ARCANGELO
         built between the XI and XII centuries. Inside the whole length is occupied by tombs , and an altar in masonry in Baroque style, with an admirable painting on metal of S.Michele opera of Cretella, dated 1930...

           Further ahead we find the green valley del Dragone were once there were Pasta and Paper factories, and mills, today in ruins, they are interesting examples of industrial archaeology....
