We find ourselves not in a simple square but in the drawing-room of the people of Atrani, a place for all, where shops are open, where people meet and children play. The square is the stage all year round for religious functions, for entertainment and on the night of San Silvestro... Last but not least maybe the most important, the delicious Zeppolata on the 23rd of December

GROTTA DEI SANTI
        the remains of a Benedictine monastery of the nine -hundreds SS: Quirico and Giulitta, admire the notable Frescoes in the Byzantine style ( XI-XII centuries) portraying SS. Evangelisti and S.Giorgio, who give their name to the place....
